Texans for AI was born out of a simple idea: what if we connected the brilliant minds using artificial intelligence across Texas and made their stories visible? We’re educators, technologists, small business owners, and lifelong learners who believe the future of AI should be shaped by diverse, everyday Texans—not just Silicon Valley. Our work brings together people from across the state who are passionate about using AI ethically and responsibly to improve lives, grow businesses, and build more inclusive communities.

We believe AI should amplify human potential, not replace it. Our mission is to spotlight and support Texans who are actively shaping the future of artificial intelligence, fostering innovation, education, and ethical use of AI across industries and communities. Our vision is a thriving Texas-led AI ecosystem where technology empowers individuals, transforms industries, and prioritizes human values and inclusive progress.

At the core of our work are five values: People First, Equity in Access, Transparency and Trust, Collaboration Over Competition, and Curiosity with Purpose. These values guide everything we do—from the conversations we have to the partnerships we pursue.

Texans for AI offers a variety of initiatives and content. We publish accessible blog articles that demystify AI for the average reader. We deliver workshops and educational sessions that introduce communities and professionals to the tools and possibilities of AI. We spotlight real Texans who are using AI in practical, creative, and ethical ways. We also collaborate with schools, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and civic leaders to expand the reach and impact of responsible AI use in the state.
